National Museum of American Illustration

The NMAI exhibits original artworks from the “Golden Age of Illustration” by such luminary artists as Norman Rockwell, N.C. Wyeth, Jessie Willcox Smith, Charles Dana Gibson, JC Leyendecker, Violet Oakley, Maxfield Parrish and 150 others in an historic Gilded Age mansion, considered “Newport’s most beautiful mansion.”

ADDRESS: 492 Bellevue Avenue, Newport RI (Main entrance & Free Parking on Victoria Avenue)

ADMISSION: Adults, $20; Seniors/Military, $18; Students, $14; Children ages 5-12, $10; Group Rate (6 visitors or more) $17 per visitor

PARKING: Free parking is available across from the Museum's entrance gate on Victoria Avenue.

The photographs shown on this page are a small sampling from our extensive archives. The archives are replete with images of the exterior and interior architecture, details, wideangle shots, the MUSEShop, formal Renaissance Revival gardens, and the Frederick Law Olmsted Park. The archives also include aerial views, seasonal, night and day, construction/renovation underway, events, visitors, celebrities, normal scenes, exterior sculpture, flower gardens, anon.

Use of any photographs or jpgs will require an advance written request on letterhead, approval by the NMAI, and required use of our captions and credit lines. In certain cases, there are industry standard charges for reproduction permission and usage.
