How long does it take to view the Museum? 
We recommend visitors allow at least one hour to view the Museum's collection on General Admissions days. The average length of a Guided Tour is 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Where is parking located? 
FREE parking is located opposite our main gate on Victoria Ave in the Olmsted Park. Bus parking is available.

Is there public transportation to the Museum?

What are the MuseShop hours?
The MuseShop is open to the public during General Admission days and at the end of Guided Tours. Appointments can also be made during normal office hours.

Is the Museum handicapped accessible? 
Unfortunately, due to the historic preservation of Vernon Court, the NMAI is not fully handicap accessible. However, we will try to accommodate all visitors to the best of our abilities.

What is a VIP Tour? 
A special, exclusive tour (with no other visitors appended) tailored to your needs and schedule.

When is the Museum open for General Admission? 
The Museum is open for General Admission between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Exact hours are announced each year in May. Check our visitor's page for more information.

Can visitors tour the gardens? 
Visitors may tour the front gardens of Vernon Court and the Frederick Law Olmsted Park, located across Victoria Avenue. The gardens behind Vernon Court were significantly altered from their original state in the late 20th century, and are not open to the public.

Are there restrooms at the Museum? 
Yes, there are restrooms available to Museum visitors after tickets are purchased at the front desk. Please note that due to the historic nature of Vernon Court, this area is not fully handicap accessible.
